This blog is part of an assignment for a class I am taking the semester before student teaching. I've made blogs before but I really think this one will be different. I want to use this blog to have a visual of the final leg of the journey I've been on. I wanted to be a teacher since my freshman year of high school. I love working with children and it's my passion to teach. I know that once I begin teaching full time, I might feel completely overwhelmed and it will be nice to have a place to see how far I've come.
I'm working on getting my elementary education degree with a specialization in language arts and reading. I love reading. I could devour a million books if given the chance and I want to share this passion with my students. Nothing is better than seeing a child learn to love reading. I hope to record strategies and other free writes from my Literacy and Learning class here so I can look back at them when I become a full time teacher.
